| Hunter Safety Ed Course!! We have arranged a Texas Hunter Safety Ed course during October to compliment our shotgun monthly theme. This is the state hunter ed course which is REQUIRED for people born after 1971 to hunt in Texas. We have arranged for an instructor to meet with our scouts to complete this course. Here's how it works: participating scouts must go to the Texas Parks & Wildlife web aite at http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/learning/hunter_education/homestudy/index.phtml and take the 11 online study/quiz segments. Then print the 11 quizes and bring them, along with $5, to the October 28th meeting with the state certified instructor. Also, you must attend the troop campout on Oct 24-26 to complete the shooting requirements for the hunter safety ed course. That's it! We do need a head count, so let Anthony know if you are interested. |
